What changes have been made to the FREE plan?
We have recently made changes to our product plans, that will affect some appear.in FREE users.
appear.in FREE now only allows 1 claimed room
Existing users of appear.in FREE who claimed more than 1 room before this change was introduced on Nov 29th, 2017, will have to choose one room to keep before April 20th, 2018. Users affected by this will receive an email. If you do not select one room to keep before the deadline, we will keep the first room you created.
Customizing the background image is now a PRO feature
In order to customize the room with your own background image inside the room and on the welcome page of locked rooms, you now need to upgrade to appear.in PRO.
Existing users of appear.in FREE who have customized their room before this change was introduced on Nov 29th, 2017, can upgrade to appear.in PRO before April 20th, 2018 to keep their current background image. The customized backgrounds of FREE rooms will be removed on April 20th.
Members is now a PRO feature
In order to add members to your rooms, you now need to upgrade to appear.in PRO.
Existing users of appear.in FREE who have added members to their room before this change was introduced on Nov 29th, 2017, will still see the the members list until April 20th, 2018, and members will retain the privileges until this date, but then the members will be removed.
Why are you making these changes?
Our goal is to continue to provide appear.in FREE, and develop it to be one of the best free services for video meetings. New users should be able to try appear.in FREE to see if appear.in is the right tool for their use case, but once you understand how it works and start using it regularly, you will benefit from appear.in PRO to get the full experience and features tailored for business users. Building a sustainable business model is necessary to allow us to continue to invest in constant improvements and innovation.
